Parents' Day observed

"Parents are busy with their work and have no time to visit the school and take interest in child's progress which in turn keeps the parents in the dark about the child's performance and the problems", said Rev Fr Joseph KS SDB, Rector, Don Bosco, Maram.
Rev Fr Joseph was speaking at the Parents' Day celebration of Saint Francis de Sale (SFS), Daili village in Sadar Hills where he graced the enlivening occasion as the chief guest.
Saint Francis De Sale (SFS), Daili celebrated the Parents' Day in commemoration of recognizing, uplifting and supporting the role of parents in the bringing up the children.
Rev Fr Joseph further said that parents need to find out the hidden potential of their children and give them opportunity to develop their talents.
He also said that teachers and parents are now not exposed to each other while adding that they should establish a mutual bond to promote the welfare of the children in home and community.
While honouring the parents, Fr Kurian, Principal, SFS, Daili village acknowledged the significant role of parents in society and development of children.
"The parents to be honored today are the parents who spend time with their children, talk and share love with them", asserted Fr Kurian.
Fr Kurian also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the parents, Daili village authority and villagers, school board, well-wishers and teaching staff in making the institution a a vibrant one.
