COVID-19: KYU assists police at Kangpokpi; vehicles detained

Kangpokpi, May 05 2020:
As many as 30 auto rickshaw violating the lockdown 3.0 in Kangpokpi District Headquarters were detained by Kangpokpi Police in collaboration with Kangpokpi Youth Union today.
The auto rickshaws mostly belonging to local plying within Kangpokpi DHQs and few others from Senapati, Nagamapal Imphal, etc were detained at Brig M Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi.
Later, the Auto rickshaws were released in the afternoon with fine.
Kangpokpi District Headquarters came alive once again post lockdown 2.0 when market places were relaxed from 6 am till 4 pm in the afternoon since yesterday with the enforcement of lockdown 3.0 .
The district police had a hard time monitoring the movement of exempted vehicles, market places, etc apart from maintaining social distancing and compulsory masks.
The local youth jumped in to assist the police personnel.
