Parents decry lack of teachers

Parents and guardians of students studying at Tobumai Junior High School under Tadubi Block, Senapati district have expressed discontentment over the lack of teachers in the school, which is reportedly under Education Department of the district.
According to report received from the locals, 3 teachers were recently transferred from the school in October and November last, but their replacement are yet to be sent.
With the coming of the BJP Govt in the State, transferring and posting of Govt teachers in their places is 'undeniable', they claimed.
The villagers also mentioned that over 100 students used to admit in the school each year but with the lack of teachers this year, admissions to the school have declined considerably.
Demanding immediate intervention of the State Government, the villagers urged the authorities concerned to do the needfull to ensure proper education for their wards before the commencement of a new academic session.
It is also learned from one villager, Kholi Ozhu that many children have changed their schools due to unavailability of appropriate teachers in the school.
He also urged the authority concerned to send the required teachers at the earliest for smooth functioning of the school.
