Imphal, December 04 2016:
Stating that shortages of non-judicial stamps and Court fees have hindered in the activities of advocates in the State, the All India Lawyers' Union (AILU), Manipur State Committee has today urged the Government to address the situation at the earliest.
In a statement, the committee decried that non-judicial stamps of Rs 5, 10, 20 , 50 and Court fees of Rs 5 and 20 have been out of stock for the last 6 months in the State.
Informing that the scarcity of the articles has caused immense inconveniences to the advocates in filing cases at the Manipur High Court and its subordinate Courts, AILU continued that this has also affected all activities that require affidavits.
The committee also sought the attention of the authorities concerned to check the sale of the said stamps by unauthorised individuals at higher prices.
