Whether distributed properly or not, PDS items are being lifted regularly

Whether people have been distributed the allocated share or not, agents of MLAs of different constituencies continue to lift the PDS items.
Report said that AAY or BPL card holders are getting only 5 kg of rice instead of the allocated 35 kg per months at various places including Langthabal.
According to DIPR Kshetrigao AC had completely lifted its allocated 1,812.80 quintal of rice under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) yesterday.
With that, all the ACs in Imphal East District had completed lifting of their PMGKAY rice allocated for July.
However, there were no report of people getting the PMGKAY.
The statement added that Tadubi AC of Senapati District lifted 3,683.95 quintal of rice under PMGKAY, allocated for the month of July.
The AC also, on 1st August, lifted 1,892.75 quintal of PMGKAY rice and 1,980.95 quintal of rice under National Food Security Act (NFSA) both allocated for August, 2020 .
The DIPR said that in Imphal West District, there was distribution of 139 quintal of rice to 2,778 migrant workers yesterday.
Chingai AC of Ukhrul District had also completed lifting of its allocated quota of rice under PMGKAY for the month of July with 1,355.65 quintal and 1,495.15 quintal being lifted on 31st July and 1st August respectively.
In Thoubal District, Lilong AC reported lifting of 2,015.40 quintal of PMGKAY rice allocated for the current month on 31st July while the same quantity had been distributed to the beneficiaries of the AC on 1st August.
The PDS items allocated under PMGKAY, NFSA and Open Market Sale Scheme (OMSS) are lifted for distribution to the beneficiaries of the State to ensure uninterrupted supply of food grain during the ongoing lockdown.
