Site excavated for World War II relics

Imphal, December 02 2015:
A site identified as World War II era spot has been excavated for finding war related relics at Slope Land Public School, Salt Village near Khongjom in Thoubal District on Wednesday.
The excavated war relics which was believed to be used by Allied Forces consists of several rounds of 303 ammunition, an unexploded hand grenade, a shovel and two rifle bayonets.
Later on, N Babulin, Principal of Slopeland Public School handed over the war relics to World War II Memorial Foundation Manipur through the Foundation's President Letmang Haokip for preservation and exhibition at the Foundation's Museum located near Pallel.
