School Health Camp launched at Keishamthong Model High School

Health Minister L Jayantakumar Singh has formally launched a two-day School Health Camp with the inauguration event held at Keishamthong Model High School this morning.
The health camp a joint venture of State Health Services, Family Welfare Department and National Rural Health Mission will also cover other educational institutions wherein health check-up of students, IEC, immunisation programme and yoga sessions would be the conducted.
In his address, Minister Jayantakumar noted that conduct of such health camps on a regular basis has become inevitable as students suffer the most when seasonal diseases/ailments break out.
Pointing out that wel-being of the students has become a necessity in order to ensure the students attend class regularly, the chief guest also expressed confidence that any ailment suffered by the students could be diagnosed/checked during the course of the two-day campaign.
Speaking as the functional president Commissioner (Health & Family Welfare) K Moses Chalai said plans are afoot to organise similar health camps in the near future as the Government is committed to welbeing of the student community.
Among others, the inaugural programme was also attended by Family Welfare Director L Joykumar and IMC Ward No 12 Councillor Ramakanta.
