Clubs appeal JAC

Thangmeiband Youth Organisation (ThYU)
and Rising Knowledge Club (RKC) have appealed the JAC formed
against the killing of Laishram Chinglemba alias Naopa to with-
draw the conditions it laid on the family members of the accused on
humanitarian ground.
Addressing media persons today at ThYU office located at
Thangmeiband, spokesperson of the two clubs Ngangbam
Ghanashyam said that Laishram Veerjit, accused in the killing
of Chinglemba, deserved punishment as per the crime he
committed.
He said that the two clubs also supported the JAC
formed against the killing.
However, Ghanashyam appealed to
the JAC to relax the conditions it laid down on the family
members of the accused on humanitarian ground.
He said that
victimising the wife and children of the accused is not accept-
able.
The wife of laishram Veerjit hails from a locality under
the jurisdiction of the two clubs.
Laishram Veerjit of Kwakeithel Moirangpurel shot his
cousin brother Laishram Chinglemba to death on March 29 .
The accused is now in police custody.
