AMSU's blood donation camp concludes

The blood donation camp held at the blood banks of RIMS and JNIMS under the theme 'Sharing Blood is Sharing Life' titled 'Lamdam asigi Meeyamda Kathoklaba Ee' concluded today.
The blood donation camp which began on August 28 as a part of the observation 56th foundation day of All Manipur Students Union (AMSU) was concluded with the donation of blood by president of AMSU and its executive committee today.
It may be noted that on the starting day, around 35 volunteers of AMSU donated blood at RIMS and 30 volunteers donated blood at JNIMS.
Speaking on the sidelines, president of AMSU, Haobijam Chalamba Meitei said that the volunteers of AMSU will donate blood whenever the need arises irrespective of time and place.
Vice president of AMSU, Laishram Athouba said that the volunteers of AMSU were unable to donate blood in a single day as many volunteers have not completed the days to donate blood after getting the jab of Covid vaccine and testing positive of COVID-19.He continued that AMSU have been conducting blood donation twice in year on the occasion of 'Meekap Thokpa Numit' on April 17 and its foundation day on August 28 and will continue to do so in the coming years well.
AMSU is preparing to donate blood in other hospitals apart from RIMS and JNIMS and the student body will help in saving the lives of many by donating blood, he added.
He also appealed to all to donate blood as there is no harm in the body while donating blood.
