Nehru Yuva Kendra organises district level youth convention

District Election Officer Thoubal and Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Thoubal jointly organised a District Level Youth Convention today at the conference hall of CEO Thoubal.
The convention was organised to meet youth club leaders of Thoubal and Kakching to give awareness to the young voters on various aspects of SVEEP-ethical and informed voting, used of voter helpline app, cVIGIL app, KYC (know your candidate) app and 1950 Voter Helpline and to disseminate information on youth related programmes and schemes in which over 50 youth leaders from different youth clubs of Thoubal and Kakching attended, said a statement issued by NYK Thoubal.
The programme was attended by Dr Sharungbam Ronel Singh, BBM MSRLM, Thoubal; Michael Thangminlien Mate, district youth officer (DYO)/SVEEP Nodal Officer; Konsam Lokendro SIngh, DACYP Member, NYK Thoubal and Usham Surchand Singh, CSC-VLE as presidium members.
K Lokendra briefed the gathering about the objectives of the convention which is to provide a platform for youth leaders to express their opinions and suggestions for youth empowerment and to orient the youth on schemes under Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and Department of Youth Affairs, MoYAS, GoI.
Dr Sharungbam Ronel Singh described in detail the various skill development schemes and courses for the youths and SHGs under MSRLM-DDU GKY, RSETI etc encouraging the touths to be self-independent entrepreneurs, vocing Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
Usham Surchandra Singh gave awareness on how to avail Government schemes digitally touching upon the schemes like CSC, e-Shraam, online application forms, UPI digital payments and facilitate the youths on being a Bank Mitra.
E Ambidas Singh, volunteer NYK, gave a short message on SVEEP and apps provided by ECI for voters while ex-volunteer of NYK N Premchand Singh shared his experience while running the 'catch the rain campaign' and exhorted the touths leaders to preseve rain water.
