Indecent non-local admonished

A non-Manipuri tiles mason who disturbed a married woman with frequent phone calls and misbehaved using indecent slang words has been nabbed by FREINDS and released today after admonishing not to repeat such act.
Informing this to journalists at its office at Keishampat here today, Organisation Secretary of FREINDS P Premkumar asserted about the increase of non-locals population in the State.
"According to 2001 census, one-third of the total population of Manipur are non-locals.
How much has their population increased by now can be apprehended by the people." Many non-locals came here and engage in various crimes including that of kidnapping two children in Shillong and the kidnapper being arrested from Bamon Kampu, molesting of a girl at Sanakeithel by barbers and many other such crimes, Premkumar maintained.
He added, the tiles mason Lalit Shah (19) s/o Ganesh Shah of Bagalpur district of Bihar and at present staying at Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak has been charged with frequently disturbing a married woman of Lamshang on phone and using indecent Hindi words.
The woman told her husband about it and he called back and talked wisely to Lalit Shah after the later called his wife twice on September 26 .
However, as the non-local called again 100 times the next day speaking indecent words, the husband lodged an application to FREINDS resulting in picking up of Lalit Shah from Nagamapal today.
The non-local has the phone number of the married woman saved in his phone as Emoinu.
He was later handed over to his family after being warned not to repeat the act again, the Orgn Secy said.
