Bima Gram title announced

The Satellite Office (SO) under Life Insurance Corporation of India, Churachandpur branch has given the title of Bima Gram (Insurance village) to Khoijuman-Kwasiphai Gram Panchayat.
The village is now the first in Manipur to be awarded the title for 2016-2017 and the first for Churachandpur branch also.
The title was given to Khoijuman-Kwasiphai Gram Panchayat for producing 100 policy holders for the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
50 street lamps worth Rs 75,000 were provided to the village as an incentive by LIC.
Khoijuman-Kwasiphai Gram Panchayat Pradhan N Ibopishak stated that LIC has changed its stereotype by providing many benefits to LIC beneficiaries.
He further stated that out of the 50 the street lamps provided, 30 have been distributed to Khoijuman and 20 to Kwasiphai and added that the streets in these areas will now have light during the night.
Branch manager of SO, Ch Ajay Singh stated that LIC entails many schemes and programmes which the beneficiaries of the village can avail and sought cooperation and support from the villagers in successfully implementing the schemes.
Organised by Khoijuman-Kwasiphai gram Panchayat, simple function was held to mark the announcement of the title where Pradhan N Ibopishak, Up-Pradhan n Ibeyaima Devi, Branch manager of SO Ch Ajay Singh, LIC Development officer N Piyananda and K Sanjitkumar attended the function as dignitaries.
