The main objective of India's colonial regime in WESEA including Manipur is complete annihilation and assimilation of all the indigenous peoples with the broad mass of India.
National integration espoused by almost all Indian leaders is nothing but assimilation with India.
Suppression of indigenous people and violation of their right to self determination are in contravention of the UN Charters.
As such, New Delhi has been tactfully scheming to conceal their true character of colonialism by using the mask of neo-colonialism, the outfit asserted.
After the merger of Manipur into the Indian Union in 1949, Manipur was reduced to the status of a Part C State ruled by a Chief Commissioner.
With the passage of time, the rein of ruling Manipur was passed from Chief Commissioner to the Advisory Council, Territorial Council and then it was given the status of Union Territory before it was granted statehood in 1972 .
Although the structure of ruling the State underwent several changes, the fundamental truth of Manipur being a colonised nation remains constant.
The Government of India which is hiding itself behind the facade of parliamentary democracy could no longer keep Manipur under their direct control because of a series of mass movements.
Nonetheless, New Delhi successfully groomed a comprador class and they are still controlling the State's administrative powers through the comprador class.
New Delhi has also been grooming a new category of middle class people who are basically sycophants interested in only amassing personal wealth without any sense of nationalism or patriotism.
Even as these contractors and politicians have been indulging in all kinds of human rights violation and rampant corruption, New Delhi always looks the other way because such evil practices do not contradict their primary objective of complete assimilation of Manipur with India.
In case the puppet rulers dare to defy the basic objectives of the colonial regime, they are toppled from their seats of power immediately.
As such, the puppet rulers cannot take up any public issue wholeheartedly.
The puppet rulers' stoic silence on the popular demands of repealing AFSPA and enforcing ILPS is a stark indication of their inability to act without New Delhi's consent.
The Government of India is fully aware that the colonial regime cannot suppress the people of Manipur permanently.
That is why, New Delhi deliberately uprooted all indigenous economic institutions with an ulterior motive to breed a notion that Manipur cannot survive without India's assistance.
By and by, Manipur's economy has been rendered dependent on the capitalist economy of India.
This process of rendering Manipur dependent on the capitalist economy of India was expedited after the whole Manipur was transformed into a captive market for goods manufactured in India.
Even though Manipur is endowed with rich natural resources, its economy is being suppressed at the weakest level in order to facilitate exploitation of raw materials found in the State by corporate companies of India.
Exploration and drilling of oil at Churachandpur and Tamenglong districts without the people's consent is a case in point.
Whereas the State's productive sector has been deliberately neglected for decades, Manipur has been overwhelmed by goods manufactured in India.
Destruction of indigenous economic institutions and the policy of keeping all modern economic institutions at bay have bred a new impoverished labour class who do not have their own homes.
Almost 80 per cent of the total population of Manipur are constituted by agricultural workers, construction workers, and salespersons working in shops owned by non-local traders.
Such is the degraded economic status of Manipur and under such adverse realities, one cannot expect the struggling people to think for the nation or the community, the central committee asserted.
