Kangpokpi, September 24 2022:
Dr T M Rajen Ayengba, president of All Manipur Dalit Development Association, has categorically stated that AMDDA is for the welfare and development of the poor & deprived people from both the hills and valley districts of the State.
Dr Rajen made the statement during the inaugural function of AMDDA Kangpokpi Branch office at Nanglhun Veng, Kangpokpi town today.
Speaking on the occasion, the AMDDA president stated that it will be wrong to claim that there is no Dalit in most parts of the State as there are many people in the hills who are deprived of health care facilities, education, roads, and many other important basic requirements.
He also pointed out that no proper roads, health care facilities, or schools were available in many remote hill areas, depriving the innocent people of their basic rights and requirements.
"In North Eastern States like Meghalaya and Sikkim, roads were made even in the remotest part, providing all the basic rights & necessities even to the poorest of the poor", said Dr Rajen while wondering why such facilities could not be provided in the hill districts of Manipur.
"Therefore, the time has come for us to make our common voice loud and clear for our basic rights and necessities, and for that matter, we have begun setting up AMDDA branches in Senapati & Kangpokpi, and it will be set up in all other hill districts of the State as well to fight and address our deprive rights & requirements", he asserted.
