No border trade took place with Myanmar for the past 60 years along the Ukhrul-Myanmar border areas.
The area bordering Myanmar remained under developed due to lack of vision of elected leaders, said social activist Er Leishiyo Keishing during a public interaction cum discussion programme held at Town Hall, Kamjong in Ukhrul district yesterday.

Besides stressing the necessity to expedite border trade with Myanmar in the area, Leishiyo Keishing said that people of the border area could achieve self reliance through border trade.
