State TC braces up for change in political equation

The political equation in Manipur is bound to change with the Trinamool Congress pulling out from the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre, according to Kim Gangte, who is the Manipur unit president of Trinamool Congress.
"Not only in Manipur but the tremor will be felt in the whole country," she added.
However, Kim Gangte, a former Lok Sabha MP from Manipur predicted that things may not be that immediate but "yes the impact is bound to be everywhere in the country" .
"As per my experience, whenever there is a change of political equation at the Centre, the tremour are felt in the whole country," she informed Newmai News Network this evening.
On being asked whether the Trinamool Congress will come closer with the BJP after pulling out from the UPA government, Kim Gangte said, "We don't have any enemy.
We are fighting on the issue base and for the common people.
In any case, we ours is for the interest of the common people as Didi (Mamata Banerjee) always say.
The issue is important for us" .
She also stated that Trinamool Congress has its own policy and the party is striving on it.
Talking about the position of Trinamool Congress in Manipur in the post-UPA alliance, Kim Gangte said that there will be no negative impact for the party here.
"Because our interest is to fight for the common people and the people know it," claimed the president of Manipur unit Trinamool Congress.
It can be mentioned here that in the last assembly election in Manipur, the Trinamool Congress had won seven seats, a victory that had boosted the party in the state.
