Tongmang quits BJP

Tongmang Haokip, who was an intending BJP candidate from 51-Saitu AC, today announced his resignation from BJP.
Speaking to mediapersons at his residence located at Haokipveng, Imphal, Tongmang Haokip expressed shock over allotment of BJP ticket for 51-Saitu AC to another individual.
"Over the past three years, I had worked for the welfare of both BJP and the people of Saitu AC.
It is shocking that the party ticket was allotted to someone who has done nothing significant to help the people's issue.
This shows the contradictory nature of BJP," Tongmang said.
"I am not the only one to quit BJP.
Helkholen Haokip, general secy (adm) of BJP Sadar Hills, Tinthang Haokip, vice-president of BJP Sadar Hills, Raju Kharam, president of BJP Youth Wing (Sadar Hills, Lalgoulen Haokip, general secy, BJPM Sadar Hills and R Rengsinkhup, president of BJPM Sadar Hills have also resigned from BJP," he further informed.
Stating that he will be not contesting in the election, Tongmang asserted that he will join different political party in the next two, three days and support the party candidate.
