Robindro to bear fees for coaching classes

Imphal, June 12 2017:
Parliamentary Secretary (Youth Affairs and Sports) Kongkham Robindro has announced that he will bear the fees to be required by meritorious students of Mayang Imphal in getting coaching classes for civil services examination conducted by UPSC.
He was addressing as chief guest the 19th Meritorious Award Presentation ceremony organised by Academic Incentive Award Committee at Mayang Imphal multipurpose hall yesterday.
He observed that such an initiative would encourage students of Mayang Imphal which is one of the major constituencies of the State.
The Parliamentary Secretary also announced that he will extend all possible help to poor students in their studies.
Admitting Mayang Imphal is lagging behind as compared to other Assembly Constituencies, he declared that a sum of Rs 1 lakh will be handed over to the committee every year.
He also assured that lack of infrastructure in N Tomchou Higher Secondary School will be looked into.
Prizes were presented to 57 Class X students and 21 Class XII students.
The occasion was also attended by Vice-Chairperson of Mayang Imphal Municipal Council, Ksh Memcha as president; MLA S Subhaschandra, MLA L Rameshore and Joint Director (Planning) of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Dr Ch Nandakishore as guests of honour.
