Awareness programme on Ayushman Bharat held at Ukhrul and Bpr

A one day special outreach programme on Ayushman Bharat (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana), a central scheme to provide medical assistance to the poor families of the country, was conducted at Ukhrul.
Dr Grace, MO PHC, Phungyar attended the programme as the main resource person and explained in detailed about the various benefits of Ayushman Bharat (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) which covered medical assistance upto Rs 5 lakh per family annually, and how to avail the benefits from the health department.
The awareness programme was conducted at two separate places in Ukhrul and Kamjong district at Koso and Shakok village respectively organized by Field Outreach Bureau, Senapati Unit, Manipur, GoI.
Meanwhile, a one day awareness programme on Ayushman Bharat was organised at Oinam, Bishnupur District by the Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GoI, Imphal today.
N Sanahal Devi, chairperson, Oinam Municipal Council (OMC) was the chief guest and L Deepak, district coordinator, Ayushman Bharat, Bishnupur district hospital was the resource person of the event.
O Moirangningthou, vice-chairperson, OMC; O Thakurchandra Singh, councillor ward no 3; Oinam Raghu Singh, councilor ward no 8; Chongtham Kesho Singh, councillor ward no 9; and Md Abdul Gaffar, SDC, Oinam were present during the programme.
During the interaction and communication programme, queries on eligibility and enlistment on socio economic caste census was discussed amongst other.
An on the spot quiz contest was also held as part of the programme.
