BJP protests at Khangabok

BJP Manipur Pradesh staged a sit-in-protest demanding resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Law Minister Ashwini Kumar at Khangabok Bazar today.
The demonstration was part of the country wide protest staged by the party on May 4 and 5 alleging that Manmohan Singh and Ashwini Kumar were involved in bribery cases.
BJP National General Secretary Tapir Gao, BJP Manipur President Thounaojam Chaoba, BJP National Executive Member Sh Shantikumar Sharma, BJP Thoubal District President L Deven, former Ministers Salam Ibohal, Laishram Jatra, Prof Gangmumei Kamei, former MLAs Dr Usham Deven, M Bhorot and and party workers hailing from different Assembly Constituencies took part in the protest.
Speaking at the demonstration, Tapir Gao said, Congress has become a party which is more dreaded than a serious disease.
On the otherhand, BJP is a secular party.
Although, he is a Christian, he has been given the post of National General Secretary, Tapir Gao said.
Moreover, the party also has many leaders from Muslim community.
Th Chaoba said that Congress is not simply involving in bribery cases but looting the money of the common people.
