UYC organises get-together programme for differently abled persons

United Youths Club (UYC), Khangabok Maisnam Leikai organised a get-together programme of differently abled persons from Thoubal district which was sponsored by Khundongbam Dinesh, a differently abled person from Khangabok at the campus of the club today while modest gifts were also presented to the participants as a part of the programme.
BJP Manipur pradesh vice president Th Jadumani Singh, Khangabok zilla parishad member Th Rajmohon Singh, N (O) Mala Devi, pradhan Khangabok Part-I GP S Opendro Singh, pradhan Khangabok Part-II GP M Leishanu Devi, pradhan Khangabok Part-Ill GP Kh Yaiskul Singh, Principal pradhan Khangabok Higher Secondary School Kh Manjor Mangang, Chairman KM Blooming Higher Secondary School Kh Ibomcha Singh, Principal The Yanaki Peace Academy, Khangabok S Gopal Singh, founder member The New Public Higher Secondary School Kh Mangijao Singh, Principal The Eastern Star Higher Secondary School and Kh Dinesh attended the programme as presidium members.
While speaking at the occasion, Kh Dinesh opined that earlier there used to be only six or seven Government support scheme available for the differently abled persons.
However, the number of welfare schemes has been increased to 48 under the present Government.
He continued that today's get-together programme is held to encash the benefit provided by the Government under the scheme and added that the differently abled persons from Thoubal district can use the maximum of the get-together by getting to know each well and stand united for each other.
He also lamented that differently abled persons are yet to receive their rightful allowance and benefit as several NGOs operating in Manipur did not perform their duty with the intention to extend the various welfare scheme meant for the differently abled persons.
He also announced that it is high time that we come together and take a resolution to form an association of differently abled persons.
Th Jadumani also said that under the leadership CM N Biren Singh, many welfare programme has been initiated for the deprived section of the society to help make an equitable society while adding that many people including differently abled persons also enjoyed the welfare scheme extended by the Government.
He appealed to the parents and guardians of the differently abled persons that they should not be discouraged by the physical conditions of their wards but should rather come out in open and take the benefit of various welfare schemes extended by the Government.
