MLA RK Anand encourages students to promote unity in State

Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC MLA RK Anand today urged the students and younger generation to be responsible citizens of the State and promote unity.
He was as the chief guest during the closing ceremony of the 3rd Winter Holiday Home Camp 2016 organised by Beneficial Club Meitram (BCM) in association with College of Social Work (CSW) Meitram Awang, Imphal.
Lauding the joint efforts of the organisers, the MLA stressed the need for organising such event in different parts of the State in order to help the younger generation in developing their talents.
Stating that the State Government has not been able to provide the much needed supports in organising such event due to fund constraint, he assured to be a part of the planning process in the next edition.
Encouraging the campers and parents to participate in the event in future again and become the pillars of the society, RK Anand urged the gathering to take resolutions which will contribute in building a peaceful society.
"Let peace prevail in Manipur.
Let there be communal harmony, development, and unity among all the communities," he said.
BCM president N Ningthemjao said that the camp was organised with the objective to impart extra-curricular knowledge and important skills like leadership, personality development, character development, art, craft, exercise etc.
Kodompokpi ZP Member Loitongbam Surchandra, CSW Principal Dr S Romeobala, ex-Pradhan of Kodompokpi GP Sorokhaibam Manglemjao and gynaecology specialist of Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Dr L Gojen were also present at the occasion.
