CNPO condemns bomb attack at Khangshim villlage, KNI stages sit-in

Khangshim Napui Inlam (KNI) today staged a sit-in denouncing the bomb attack carried out at the residence of one Milan Khaling in Khangshim village, Kakching Lamkhai on Sunday evening by unknown miscreants.
Notably, Milan Khaling (42) is the owner of James Khaling and Sons (JKS) Construction, Khangshim village.
Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, K Moikham Ronglo, president All Tribal Women's Organization (ATWO) stated that the women folk of Tengnoupal and Chandel districts strongly condemned the bomb attack.
She also urged all concerned to retrain from carrying out such acts again in the future and come to an understanding peacefully.
Condemning the unfortunate incident, Shangte Khaling, secretary KNI appealed to the Government to intervene and book the culprits involved in the incident at the earliest.
Placards with the slogans such as "Let peace be our first priority", "Gun or bomb, threat is unacceptable", "To target public life is condemnable", "We condemn the barbaric bomb attack on civilian", etc were extensively used at the protest.
Moreover, Chandel Naga Peoples Organisation has also strongly condemned the bomb attack carried out at the resident of Milan Khaling in Khangshim village.
In a release, CNPO informed that the bomb did not cause any injury or casualty but has created fear & insecurity among the inhabitants of the village and surrounding areas.
"This kind of incident should be condemned by all the peace loving citizens", it added.
CNPO further urged the authorities concerned to award befitting punishment to the culprits to prevent similar incidents in the future.
