Students say no further intake at DM College of Arts

The Education Department's plan to admit more students to the DM College of Arts even after having completed two units of the syllabus is not acceptable to the students and they will launch an intense agitation if the Education department does not roll back its plan, the students warned today .
Talking to the media persons at the college, Leishangthem Nonglemba, a student said that the Education Department's plan of further intake of students even though the second unit of the syllabus of the first semester is almost over is not acceptable to the general students of the college.
The Education Department should roll back this plan immediately.
If the Govt tries to accommodate more students, then the students will launch a series of intense agitations, he warned .
The first semester at the DM College of Arts has already commenced with around 1000 students.
Two units of the syllabus were completed by July 4.The Education Department is trying to tarnish the good image of the college which the teachers are trying hard to maintain .
While the college is lacking many of the basic amenities, the Govt should not try to distract the students from the curriculum and confuse them with such plans, he also said.
