Need to modernize education system in hills, says Alfred Kanngam Arthur

INC candidate from 44- Ukhrul AC Alfred Kanngam Arthur categorily, at his flag hoisting ceremony, emphasised the need of modernizing education system in the hill districts by setting up sufficient primary and elementary schools in every village.
The flag hoisting programme was held today at his residence located in Imphal and was also attended by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president TN Haokip.
Alfred Arthur Kangam said, "Modernizing education system in the hill districts by setting up sufficient primary and elementary schools in every village is necessary so as to provide proper education to the children" .
He added, "In democractic country like ours, election is very important because it allows the people to elect their representatives.
However, it is learnt that some political parties have been trying to create gap among different commmunities of the State.
Every voter should be given the right to exercise their franchise in free and fair manner" .
He urged the people to abide by the principle "My vote shall be for truth" and said that election is not a game but a right given to every voter to choose their representatives who will lead the people towards growth and development.
TN Haokip, while appealing to the voters to vote for Congress party, stated that many developmental works which are underway are yet to be completed and people's support is a must to accomplish the goals envisioned for the welfare of the people and State as a whole.
"Congress is open for any energetic youth who can lead the people and the Nation towards sustainable development.
BJP, on the other hand, has been playing divisive role and people should fall into their trap," TN Haokip said.
Alfred was also asked why he did not opt for security escort.
Then he replied, "If my people are not safe and sound, why should I be personally protected? I don't need an escort during the election campaign" .
Former BJP, Ukhrul vice-president L Khupthang Khongsai along with his functionaries was feted during the programme.
