CM, Dy CM inaugurate industrial estate

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam today, inaugurated the Industrial Estate at Tera Urak, our correspondent reports.
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi laid the foundation stone for the construction of the estate on June 9, 2015.The Industrial Estate was built with the funding of NEC and MSME.
About 20.65 crores were spent in the construction of the Industrial Estate that has a total of 27 stalls.
Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam; Parliamentary Secretary YAS & Tourism M Prithivraj Singh; Kumbi AC MLA S Bira; Nambol AC MLA N Loken Singh; Oinam AC MLA I Ibohalbi Singh; Advisor of NEC Gautam Chintey; Director of Commerce & Industries B Langtinkhuma; Bishnupur DC M Harekrishna and staff as well as Bishnupur and Ningthoukhong Municipal Council Councillors attended the inaugural function.

Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister O Ibobi said the State Government is planning to establish atleast one industrial estate at each districts of the State.
Industrial estates have been set up at Imphal East, Imphal West and now Bishnupur.
Industrial estate for Chandel and Thoubal will come up shortly to generate employment for the unemployed youths of the State, he said.
Commenting on the massive recruitment drive by the State Government, Ibobi clarified that the move has nothing to do with the forthcoming State Assembly election.
He said the Government is merely trying to fill up vacant posts of selected departments and urged all the concerned not to spread false information that could confuse the masses.
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam said all round development of the State will come only when there is peace and unity in the State.
