PMO forwards Sainik School alumnus' suggestion to MoD

Imphal, March 22 2016:
The Prime Minister's Office has taken note of the suggestions given by an alumnus of the prestigious Sainik School Imphal, Manipur to ensure the proper fencing of the school on its eastern boundary.
The alumnus, Ningombam Bupenda Meitei, who studied at Sainik School Imphal, wrote to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, "Modi sir, I am an ex-cadet (Adm.
No.1912, Netaji House) of SSI (Sainik School Imphal ), Manipur which is under MoD (Ministry of Defence), India.
I visited my alma mater recently and I found that the entire eastern front of the school campus has no wall or wire fencing even.
There could be an easy breach of security in the future.
Kindly send your MoS, Defence (RRM) to inspect the boundary which has no wall and accordingly sanction funds to erect the concrete wall as soon as possible.

The suggestion of Bupenda Meitei was received by the PMO on June 11, 2015.It was then forwarded to US (GS IV), MoD (Ministry of Defence), Room NO.116, B Wing, Sena Bhavan, New Delhi.
The current status states that the case is closed.
The date of action is March 22, 2016 and details record that the suggestions are noted.
Club 26, a registered non-profit society in Manipur formed by the alumni of the 26th batch of Sainik School Imphal, thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his swift action to forward the suggestion of its member, Ningombam Bupenda Meitei, to Ministry of Defence for the infrastructural development of the school.
The non-profit society, Club 26 (Regd.
No.726 of 2016), also welcomes the initiative of Ningombam Bupenda Meitei in taking up a genuine issue of development of the school to the PMO, conveyed a press release.
