Imphal, June 21 2016:
A student of JN Dance Academy was allegedly thrashed by the academy's director within its campus in front of the public for riding motorcycle (Bullet Enfield) whose engine sound was 'too loud' .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here this afternoon, Nat Sankritan Post Graduate student Ningombam Sanjay said that he went to the academy riding a Bullet at around 9 am today.
Soon after he left the Bullet in the vehicle shed, he was summoned to the Director's room where Director L Opendro complained that the sound of his Bullet was too loud.
To this, Sanjay retorted that it was the manufacturer's fault, not his.
Nonetheless, he assured that he would never bring the Bullet to the Academy again.
Soon after, he rode his Bullet towards the gate.
However, as he suddenly remembered something, he turned back towards the college.
However, as he once again left the Bullet in the shed, Sanjay was held by the neck by two staff of the Director and dragged for some distance.
They also slapped him on the face.
The Director too allegedly poked Sanjay on the face with his index finger and threatened to shoot him dead with a gun.
Sanjay was also detained for sometime inside a room after which he was forced to apologise to a Pradhan Guru and the Director.
He then condemned in the strongest term the Director's act of threatening to shoot him dead.
