Leadership training prog for minority launched

The Kuki Christian Church, under the aegis of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, launched 'Leadership Development Training for Minority Women today at KCC Assembly Hall.
KCC would organise leadership training programme at various centres/localities in various parts of the State till the end of the financial year.
According to a statement, the launching programme today was graced by Dr S Singsit, Chairman MPSC; D Lhangum, SDC (hqtrs) Sadar Hills and S Chongloi, Transmission Executive, AIR as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr S Singsit emphasised the role of women in the Chipko movement while challenging the women leaders to critically analyse issues that confront minority women.
He also exhorted the trainees to be actively involved in transformation of minority/tribal women while also pointing out the relevency and vibrancy of such training programme religiously, socially, and its cultural liberation, economic security and administrative brilliance.
Around 79 trainees registered participation in the programme today, said the statement.
