7 day training programme for nurses commences

A 7 day training programme of nurses under the scheme of the Development of Nursing Services was inaugurated today at the conference hall of Manipur Nursing Council.
The training programme has been organised by Manipur Nursing Council under the aegis of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi.
The lighting of lamps by the Registrar of Manipur Nursing Council, Thoudam Nandarani and Joint Director (Nursing) of Medical Directorate Lalbeikmoi marked the inauguration of the training programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Thoudam Nandarani said that the 7 day training programme is conducted to trained those nurses who are currently in service.

Nurses who are serving in private sectors, community health centres and Government services are participating in the training programme, she added.
She further informed that the training programme will be conducted in seven phases comprising 30 participants in each batch with an objective to update the knowledge and skills of the nurses.
She appealed to all the nurses to be attentive and also to present their points of view during the programme so that their doubts are well addressed.
During the training programme, the nurses will be trained on innovative management and teaching methodology, she added.
Lalbeikmoi expressed that the training programme will provide additional inputs and knowledge to the participating nurses and also prayed for the success of the programme.
