Counting of votes for local body poll today ; Restriction orders promulgated in counting areas

In connection with the counting of votes of the Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat election to be held tomorrow, only the southern gate (main gate) of the office complex of the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, Lamphelpat would be used for entry and exit.
In a statement, the District Municipal Election Officer, Imphal West said that all the vehicles belonging to the contesting candidates and election agents should park inside the office complex of the Excise Department, Lamphelpat and should exit only through RIMS Ring Road.
No vehicle apart from those belonging to the assigned officials would not be allowed to enter beyond the gate of the Directorate of Commerce Industries, Lamphelpat, junction between Chingangbam Leirak/ Mohon Motor Lairak and ring road near the north western comer of CRPF camp, Lamphel, entry point of Laishram Leirak at Imphal-Kangchup road and near the gate of Court Complex, Lamphelpat.
All the private and officials vehicles heading towards Langol Game village and Imphal Kangchup road should exit through Chingangbam Leirak/Mohon Motor Workshop Leirak.
No individual except the security personnel is allowed to carry arms and ammunition and other items which are capable of causing injury inside the office complex.
The counting agents of each of the contesting candidate are to wait at Laishram Khullen Leikai community hall until they are called in by the SDO/ RO concerned, said the statement.
In view of the counting of votes for Municipal Council election which will be held tomorrow, the District Magistrate, Bishnupur has promulgated Sec 144 CrPC prohibiting vehicular movements in and around Bishnupur Mini Secretariat today.
The areas covered under the prohibition order are Parengba Khun approach road to the north, 500 metres from the DC office to the west.
Old bazar approach road to the south and upto tiddim road to the east.
The order comes into immediate effect and shall remain in force until the end of poll countings.
