Parcel tampered

A parcel reportedly containing a wireless mobile phone charger that was ordered online by one Leishangthem Amuba Singh has arrived at the post office here, tampered and empty.
The parcel that was shipped from Guang-dongsheng, China shows signs of being tampered with a transparent solu-tape plaster used to hide the apparent signs of being tampered.
It also bore the seal of the Customs Department with the words 'passed by Customs CEO Kolkota stamped on the parcel.
The postal officials have claimed that there is very little they can do about the parcel being tampered other than to ship it back to the sender.
It could have been tampered in Kolkota, Guwahati, Dimapur or Imphal but the department has no knowledge about it, added the postal official who also claimed that expensive materials should have been insured but many people have failed to do so.
