Thoubal, May 12 2013:
A Thoubal police personnel helped two teenage boys who lost their ways to reach the safe custody of Child Welfare Committee, Chandel.
Police Commando Constable Akoijam Keshworjit was stopped by the two boys - Jackson (14) and Roji (14) - for help at Yairipok Lamkhai when the cop was returning home from his post at Khangabok at around 9.30 pm yesterday.
When Keshworjit enquired about them, they told him that they had been putting up as domestic help at the house of one Thingboy of Chandel Forest Gate.
However, they said, Thingboy had passed away around one month back and his son asked them to find their way as he had to shift his house with his family to Assam.
After they came out from the house, they had nowhere to go and incidentally stopped Keshworjit for help.
The cop brought the duo to his home and filed a police report the next day.
The police then informed the Child Welfare Committee, Thoubal about the two boys.
CWC Thoubal then communicated and handed them to CWC Chandel to find out their actual background.
According to the two young boys, they had been staying at the house of Thingboy since their childhood till recent time.
CWC Thoubal and CWC Chandel will jointly find out the actual background of the two boys to do the needful.
