Govt to pay attention in education tourism: Minister Okendra

Observing that Manipur is becoming a state with lot of potential for development in the field of human resources, Education Minister Moirangthem Okendra has informed that in order to improve the existing education system the state government as well as he himself would be paying special attention to development of education tourism in the state.
Speaking as Chief Guest of the 14th Thokchom Nabakumar Singh Memorial Meritorious Award, 2012 presentation function organised jointly by Village Development and Sporting Club, Pukhao Laipham and Pourabi Raising Star Club at the ground of Phukhao aipham LP School today, observed that education has a great role to play in ensuring self reliance of the state.
So, in order to bring about improvement in the existing education system, the Government and he himself would be paying serious attention to development of Manipur as a destination for education tourism.
The same educational facilities available in other parts of the country would be ensured to all the students studying in Manipur, he assured, adding that there would be no different in the outlook of the government towards the private schools and the government schools when it comes to development of education system in Manipur.
