The Go to Village 2.0 programme at Thoubal Moijing concluded today.
The GTV 2.0 which was launched on November 2 in Thoubal Moijing had benefitted more than 7,770 individuals from 6 Assembly Constituencies in Thoubal district under various schemes of 19 different departments of the Government.
Speaking at a press conference, Ahanthem Subhash, DC Thoubal, said in the short span of 3 days, people were benefited with schemes mostly related to the health and social welfare department.
During the GTV 2.0 which was launched by the Chief Minister on November 2, 403 widows had applied for Chief Minister's Widow Pension Scheme, 336 got vaccinated for COVID-19, Lilong Sub-division collected a sum of Rs 1,723, 191 new applicants for Start-up and 320 new bank accounts were also opened.
The DC also extended gratitude to all the staff of various departments, officials and volunteers of local bodies for their role in making the GTV 2.0 in Thoubal district a grand success.
Speaking at the press conference, Md Atabddin, spokesperson People's Forum Moijing, said it would not be a far fetched statement to claim that the GTV 2.0 has benefitted the residents of the district in various ways.
He also appealed the Chief Minister to extend the GTV 2.0 in Thoubal district by a minimum of 2 days to address the issues of many people of the district that have been left out.
