AMGACTA donates to CM's relief fund

Imphal, July 07 2017:
Considering the woes being faced by the affected people due to the recent flash floods, several organisations have donated funds to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund .
Today as well, All Manipur Government Aided College Teachers' Association (AMGACTA) has donated Rs 1 lakh to the CM’s Relief Fund .
Members of the Association led by their Secretary Kh Inaobi handed over the donation to Chief Minister N Biren Singh in a simple ceremony held at Chief Minister's Secretariat .
It may be mentioned that Manipur Home Guard Employees' Welfare Association had also donated Rs 1 lakh on July 5, 2017 .
Cease-work strike

IMPHAL, Jul 7: Staff of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) have today taken out a silent rally to protest non-payment of salary for nine months .
The protesters started the rally from MSRTC Gate, Moirangkhom and tried to proceed towards Agriculture Directorate, Sanjenthong .
However, police foiled the rally .
Meanwhile, the staff have decided to cease service like field work extension with immediate effect from today until they get their pending salaries .
Talking to reporters, a member of ATMA said that about 267 ATMA staff including those on deputation have not been getting their salary for about nine months (Oct 2016-June 2017).This has caused immense financial problem to the staff while discharging their duties.
Some staff do not have even transportation fare from their home to the office .
AMSU felicitation
IMPHAL, Jul 7: The Information and Publicity Secretary, AMSU Yurembam Branch, Sorokhaibam Sanathoi Devi has announced in a press release that the successful candidates from Patsoi and Konthoujam Kendras in the recent exams conducted by the Board, Council and CBSE will be felicitated on July 23, Sunday at Recent Hr Sec School.
Students securing above 70% for Board, above 70% for Science and above 65% for Arts and Commerce stream for Council, and above 90% in X and XII for CBSE are requested to submit the forms available at Leirik Book Store, Khumbong Bazar, Noren Electronics, Patsoi-Langjing Bazar and Bobby Photo Studio, Khamnam Bazar by July 20 .
Trees planted
THOUBAL, Jul 7: As part of the 68th Van Mahotsava observance, Forest Department, Thoubal division has conducted tree saplings plantation at 16 places in Thoubal and Kakching districts .
Chief Forest Conservator, Mahendra Pratap, DFO RK Amarjit, PCCT & HOFF K Angami and staff of Forest Dept, Thoubal division took part in the tree plantations .
Applications invited for Youth Award
IMPHAL, Jul 7: District Youth Affairs & Sports Officer, Tamenglong, L Muhindro Singh has invited applications for Youth Award from individual as well as voluntary youth organisations of Tamenglong for their outstanding work done in the field of Youth Works for the period from April 1, 2016 to Mar 31, 2017.Last date of submission of the application with supporting documents is July 20, 2017 .
Stir suspended
IMPHAL, Jul 7: Following positive assurance from the Govt, the RMSA Graduate Teachers’ Association has suspended its cease-work strike with immediate effect .
According to a statement issued by RGTAM, the Education Minister � with the intervention of Education Director Th Kiran Kumar, has assured in written to release the pending salaries of the teachers within July.
As such, the agitating teachers have suspended its cease-work strike launched since July 6 .

They will be on probation for two years.
