Regional Business Office opened

The State Bank of India (SBI) has opened a Regional Business Office at Babupara.
The new office was inaugurated by SBI North East Circle CGM Rajnish Kumar today.
The bank also donated an ambulance vehicle to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS).
Rajnish Kumar and SBI Regional Business Office AGM James Thantlinga were the chief guest and president of the inauguration function.
Speaking to reporters, Rajnish Kumar said that the technical problems in the ATMs of Manipur are due to irregular power supply.
Saying that the North East region now has 17 Regional Business Offices Rajnish Kumar said that SBI is planning to open atleast five branches at different localities of hill and valley areas including border town Moreh within this year.
On the other hand, Rajnish Kumar and James Thatlinga handed over an ambulance vehicle to JNIMS Director Dr L Chandramani.
Speaking at the occasion, Rajnish Kumar said, SBI has been taking up various social responsibility programmes apart from providing banking services to the general public.
As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, SBI provides school buses, water purifiers and fans etc.
Taking serious note of global warming, the bank also plants tree saplings from time to time, he added.
Dr L Chandramani thanked SBI for providing an ambulance vehicle at a time when the institute is facing lack of infrastructure.
