Loken scoffs at BJP poll prospects

Nambol Kendra INC candidate and MLA, N Loken has claimed that the BJP which is in power at the Centre will not be able to win more than seven seats in the coming election.
He made the claim at a political conference attended by people from three polling stations of Ishok held at Ishok Maning Leikai residence of Huidrom Inaocha Singh alias Sokham Sangoi which was organised by the Nambol Block Congress Committee.
Speaking at the meeting, he said, "The BJP candidate of the Kendra is campaigning for votes using Prime Minister Narendra Modi's name but he has not done anything significant for the people of this kendra in the 33 years of his political career" .
He accused BJP of bringing only suffering to the people and of being a partial party.
He further stated that gas which cost around Rs 700 during the Congress rule in the Centre now cost around rs 2500 in the black market and added that the BJP would not be able to return in the next Lok Sabha election.
N Mangi Singh (president, Nambol Block Congress Committee), M Veirop Singh (vice president), L Kali Singh (retd headmaster, Ishok Primary School) and many senior members of the party attended the function.
As a part of the function, MLA N Loken also warmly welcomed the new leaders who joined the party after quitting BJP.
