Prizes distributed to winners of 42nd Kha Manipur Drama Festival 2018

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the 42nd Kha Manipur Drama Festival 2018 jointly organized by Langmeidong Dramatic Union, Langmeidong in association with Manipur State Kala Akademi, Imphal from October 24 to 30 in a simple function held at Langmeidong Dramatic Union Hall yesterday.
The prize distribution function was attended by Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Minister of Art and Culture, Health and Family Welfare, CAD A, Law, Labour and Employment L Jayantakumar Singh, MLA Hiyanglam AC, who is also Chairman of MANIDCO and MANITRON, Dr Radheshyam Yumnam, Secretary-in-charge Manipur State Kala Akademi L Kishorjit Singh and Chairman Langmeidong Dramatic Union Thounaojam Ngouba Singh as presidium members.
A total of 11 theatre group participated in the 42nd Kha Manipur Drama Festival 2018 while the play "Nongma Lakke" of Ipom Chaoba Memorial Cultural Institute, Kwa Keithel Konjeng Leikai bagged the Best Production award, "Sheidangbi" pf Creative Arts and Research Centre won the 2nd Best Production award whereas the third Best Production award went to "Huranbagi Leibakta Huranba Macha" of Liberty Theatre Kakching and "Manglan Oihoure" of Kanglei Living Arts Uchiwana.

Director Ojitkumar Elangbam was declared the Best Director for the play "Nongma Lakke" while Director Uttamkumar Naorem was adjudged 2nd Best Director for "Huranbagi Leibakta Huranba Macha" and Director of "Manglan Oihoure" Th Premjit won the 3rd Best Director award.
Writer Moirangthem Priyobrata won the Best Script Writer award for 'Sheidangbi' while writer of 'Huranbagi Leibakta Huranba Macha' Kshretri Sanajaoba bagged the 2nd Best Script Writer award.
The best actor award went to E Anao of Rupalaya Theatre Elangkhanpokpi for donning the role of Ibobi in the play 'Ashibagi Mitluda Pirang' while Brideep Yanglem and Th Nabachandra (Yumjao Lairembi Dramatic and Cultural Union Khagempali Huidrom Leikai) won the 2nd and 3rd best actor award for portraying the role of Khomei and Indigenous Bull in the play 'Sheidangbi' and 'Meitei San' respectively.
Hijam Kabita Chanu bagged the Best Actress award for playing the role of Tombi in 'Sheidangbi' while Meikham Babygrace won the 2nd best actress award for portraying the role of Sanatombi in 'Manglan Oihoure' and L Peancy collected the 3rd Best Actress award for Shak-henbi in the play 'NongmaLakke'.
L Khe Khe Sharma won the best supporting actor for playing the role of Tompok in the play 'Manglan Oihoure' while Usham Ranjan and Kayenpaibam Kumdamba won the 2nd Best Supporting Actor award.
M Kiranmala was awarded the best supporting actress for portraying the role of Pepe in the play 'Yachal Yaodraba Shagol' of Kakching Dramatic Union while artist of Eclipse Theatre Konjeng Leikai L Sundari bagged the 2nd best supporting actress for her role in 'Hanubagi Matei'.
Th Lemba bagged the best comedian award while K James won the 2nd best comedian award.
Master N Bonison of Mekola Dramatic Union was adjudged the best child artist while Pari Thounaojam won the 2nd best child artist award.
Ipom Chaoba Memorial Cultural Institute, Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai won the best discipline award for the play 'Nongma Lakke' while Kakching Dramatic Union bagged the 2nd Best Discipline award.
T Langkeshwor was declared winner of Best Stage Management award for 'Nongma Lakke' while K Chingkheinganba won the 2nd Best Stage Management award for 'Meitei San'.
The best light and 2nd best light award went to W Dhaneshwor and Y Lokendro for 'Ashibagi Mitluda Pirang' and 'Yachal Yaodraba Shagol' respectively.
K Likhomba Mangang won the Best Music award while Y Dhanabir and N Angoutombi bagged the 2nd Best Music award.
Moirangleima, Chingkheinganba, Nongdrenkhomba won the Best Costume award for the play 'Meitei San' while Th Ranjan bagged the 2nd Best Costume award for 'Mangalgee Maikeida Rabei'.
Binashakhi and Usharani won the award in the Best Make Up category while Tom Sharma and L Peancy won the 2nd Best Make Up award.
Mekola Dramatic Union won the Special Jury Award for the play 'Amukta Yenglakho' while RK Sanatombi Devi of Yumjao Lairembi Dramatic and Cultural Union bagged the Presidential Award for portraying Sangai in the play 'Meitei San'.
Later, the play "Nongma Lakke" of Ipom Chaoba Memorial Cultural Institute, Kwa Keithel Konjeng Leikai which have won Best Production award was presented before the gatherings.
