Imphal, December 27 2022: Sonia Khundrakpam was conferred with Yuva Purashkar 2022 in Manipuri language.

The award was presented during Yuva Puraskar 2022 presentation ceremony held today evening at Triveni Kala Sangam, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.

A press release by Sahitya Akademi informed that Yuva Puraskar 2022 were presented to the distinguished young writers in 24 Indian languages.

Dr Chandrashekhar Kambar, President of Sahitya Akademi presented the Puraskar to the awardees in the form of casket containing an engraved copper-plaque and an amount of Rs.50,000 each.

The other Yuva Puraskar 2022 awardees are Pradyumna Kumar Gogoi (Assamese), Suman Patari (Bengali), Alangbar Muchahary (Bodo), Ashu Sharma (Dogri), Mihir Vatsa (English), Bharat Kheni (Gujarati), Bhagwant Anmol (Hindi), Dadapeer Jyman (Kannada), Shaista Khan (Kashmiri), Myron Jeson Barreto (Konkani), Navkrishna Aihik (Maithili), Anagha J.Kolath (Malayalam),Pawan Nalat (Marathi), Roshan Rai Chot (Nepali), Dillip Behera (Odia), Sandhu Gagan (Gagandeep Singh) (Punjabi), Aashish Purohit (Rajasthani), Shruti Kanitkar (Sanskrit), Salge Hansdah (Santali), Hina Aswani (Sindhi), P.Kalimuthu (Tamil), Pallipattu Nagaraju (Telugu), Maqsood Aafaque (Urdu) .

It may be noted that Awardees' Meet will be held tomorrow (December 28, 2022) at Sahitya Akademi Auditorium, First Floor, Rabindra Bhavan, 35, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi wherein the award-winning writers will share their creative experiences.
