ATSUM cautions

With two more days left for the state government to address pending issues agreed between the All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM)- Tombing group and the government of Manipur, the tribal students' body today reminded the chief minister on the agreement.
According to Newmai News Network, ATSUM-Tombing in its reminder to the chief minister has said it will resort to intense form of agitation if the agreement is not materialised by May 25 .
The ATSUM demands are to improve the health and educational facilities in Manipur hill districts, modification or alteration of the existing 200 point rosters, appointment of backlog vacancies in GAD, cancellation of piecemeal recruitment drive in Manipur legislative assembly secretariat, effective governance in Manipur's hill districts, transfering of land records, police jurisdiction, non-existence of state chief information commissioner, to do away the culture of service extension in Manipur, tribal sub-pan, re-allocation or re-deployment of teachers and finally to address the minister Md Abdul Nasir case.
Except for Nasir's issue, the rest of points mentioned by ATSUM have been agreed by the govt on Nov 25, 2013 to address within six months which lapses on May 25 .
