Health Minister inaugurates free diagnostic centre at Chandel

Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar Singh has inaugurated Free Diagnostic Centre for District Hospital (DH), Chandel today.
Speaking at the inaugural function held at District Hospital Chandel, Health minister said that with the opening of free diagnostic centre, people of Chandel will now have the opportunity for different kind of tests at free of cost and added that they no longer need to go to Imphal or other places for diagnostic tests.
He continued that the new initiatives will not only cut the expenditure of the patient but also will enable the people of Chandel to diagnose any disease whether communicable or non-communicable sooner than later.
He also said that, understanding the value of human life, the State Government has been consistently taking up many welfare activities and added that this is the third district in the state to launch Free Diagnostic Service after Churachanpur and Thoubal.
The remaining District Hospitals and Sub-Divisional Hospitals will very soon have such facilities, he asserted.
Mentioning about the introduction of Health and Wellness Centre, minister said that around thirty numbers of Health and Wellness has so far been opened in Imphal West, Thoubal, Churachandpur and Chandel districts with the objective to promote health and well-being of the people of the State and appealed the public to take the benefit of the services.
The inaugural function was jointly organized by the State Health Society, NHM, Manipur and KRSNAA Diagnostics PVT LTD.

of honor respectively.
