Repairing of Pallel-Chandel Road to begin: Nunghlung Victor

'The repairing of NH 102C (Pallel to Chandel) will start when the tender process, MLA of Chandel Assembly Constituency St Nunghlung Victor Anal said today.
The tender process will be over by November 14, informed the MLA while addressing the public gathering at a 'Love Feast' which he hosted in appreciation of the people for extending support and cooperation to him.
The MLA claimed that the Pallel - Chandel road would have been in a better condition, if the 23 contractors did not turn up for the construction of the road with just 18 km in the year 2004. As many as Rs.24 Cr.
were sanctioned for the road work, however an amount of Rs.7 Cr.
Was diverted by the then Minster concerned, the MLA added.
He also pointed out that submission of faulty Detailed Project Report twice by the BRO since they took charge from 2010 onwards has also caused delay in constructing the work.
Acknowledging the hardships faced by the people, the MLA put pressure on all authorities including the Chie Minister for expediting the work, he asserted.
Saying that even though Rs.13 Cr.
was sanctioned for repairing of the Pallel Chandel road recently, Victor Anal explained that the work is yet to start due to failure of the proposed tender twice and the said tender would be floated by November 14 .
The Organiser of the event CNPO President Ws Kanral Anal, while speaking on the occasion, greeted the people of Chandel on the occasion of CHAVAN KUMHRIN' which falls on October 23.In his speech he appealed to all to harvest peace so that the district would remain peaceful and become a better home for all the communities.
Former Vice-President of United Naga Council Ts Warngam, and Ng Gilbert Monsang were also among important speakers on the occasion.
