Imphal, August 16 2017:
The CorCom has categori-cally stated that all those people who surrendered to the State Government at a home coming ceremony held on August 14 were either black sheep or deserters .
A statement issued by CorCom media coordinator Ksh Yoiheiba remarked that there was no element of surprise when the Manipur Government organised a home ceremony after a long gap under a policy of the Government of India .
From time to time, the alien regime has been organising such home coming ceremonies elaborately, spending both time and money with a motive to project that the liberation movement has suffered set-backs .
Waging a sustained war of liberation against any foreign occupation is no easy task.
It is a journey full of hurdles.
It requires grit, determination and persever- ance.
People who do not possess these calibres flounder in the journey of revo- lution .
Those who surrendered to the State Government do not possess these calibres and they could not abide by the rules and regulations of revolutionary organisations.
They were deserters, it asserted .
The surrender drama of August 14 was enacted after mobilising former insur- gents who deserted their organisations 14/15 years back and have been taking refuge with Indian military forces .
They have been committing all kinds of anti-social and criminal activities and they have appeared at such home coming ceremonies many times before .
With a motive to add more flavour to the drama, many of the surrenderees/deserters were given higher ranks in cahoots with Indian military officers, the CorCom alleged .
It cited the cases of UNLF's Maj Sapam Mohon alias Iboyaima of Tentha Khunou and Captain Longjam Jiten alias Manglem alias Boinao of Yairipok Kekru .
Sapam Mohon alias Iboyaima was not a Major but 2nd Lieutenant.
He fled away from the party in 2005.Since then, he has been committing different anti-social activities in association with KCP (City Meitei) .
Longjam Jiten alias Manglem alias Boinao was not a Captain but Sergeant Major.
He too deserted the party in 2006 and joined URF with the patronage of Indian military forces and committed all kinds of anti-social and criminal activities .
Brig Jame alias Uttam worked for RPF/PLA for many years but he lacked knowledge of revolutionary movement and he could not abide by the party's rules and regulations.
He too is a deserter who does not have any place in the revolutionary movement .
These people who would pose hurdles to the revolutionary movement were presented at home-coming ceremonies after they were exploited fully by the Indian military forces, CorCom said.
It then conveyed regret to all the people for their inability to keep those incorrigible people inside 'revolutionary prison' and prevent them from harming the public .
CorCom is always prepared to punish these people for offending the masses, it said.
