Political parties urge for all political parties meet

Imphal, May 16 2021:
The Hindustan Janata Party, Manipur State Committee (HJP-MSC), in a statement, has urged the State Government to convene all political party meeting to chalk out a strategy for alleviating the hardship of the State populace.
Stating that COVID-19 and the subsequent clamping of the curfew are hitting hard on the people, especially the poor, the HJP-MSC further urged the Government to give topmost priority to saving people's lives.
The Republican Party of India (A) Manipur State Committee has demanded the State Government to call an urgent meeting of Ruling and Opposition parties to formulate an effective fighting strategy against COVID-19 .
The condition of the State has worsened with the death toll due to COVID-19 reaching to 562 and more than 5, 598 currently being infected, the RPI (A) State Committee said in a press release.
Both the Ruling and Opposition parties should discuss minutely on how to fight the pandemic and save lives of all, it said.
Blame game will not bring all solutions to the issue, it continued while adding that both the parties should be held responsible if more people die due to the virus.
