BJP on a mission of pol vendetta: Joykisan

Imphal, April 11 2018:
All the activities of the BJP-led coalition Government seem to be acts of political vendetta, remarked MPCC spokesman Kh Joykisan.
Speaking to media persons by the sideline of a public function at Neikanlong, Thangmeiband today, Joykisan noted Chief Minister N Biren's assertion that the missing case of 56 arms from 2nd MR was related to election and the arms went missing during the term of the previous Government.
"Whether it is the arms missing case, Loktak scam or MDS scam, our appeal is identify the culprits and award them befitting punishment irrespective of whether they are Government leaders or Congress leaders", Joykisan said.
He further appealed to the BJP led Government to refrain all activities which look like acts of political vendetta.
Relocating Imphal East District Hospital from Sagolmang to Kyamgei is a clear act of political vendetta.
It is a deliberate policy of depriving the people of Khundrakpam AC for electing a Congress candidate in the last State Assembly election, asserted the Congress spokesman.
Congress party has no objection to any development work taken up within Keirao AC but the CHC located at Sagolmang had been already shifted to Bashikhong and the district hospital too has been taken away to Kyamgei.
This is a meritless policy and sheer injustice, Joykisan asserted.
Congress party recently exposed withdrawal of a huge amount of fund using forging CDAs, issuance of supply order to MAHUD fraudulently and misappropriation of huge amount from non-plan head but the Government is unable to give any convincing clarification.
The Minister concerned and Government spokesman has accepted withdrawal of money using forged CDAs and he even said that one contractor had been pulled up.
What is rather strange is the act of arresting the contractor.
Any contractor will accept cheques given to them.
What is important is how did the cheque reach the particular contractor and who signed the cheque, Joykisan said.
It is clear that the contractor is only a scapegoat.
It is also clear that there is clique of looters behind the screen who are connected to the Government, he alleged.
Even though the Minister concerned assured that all those involved in issuing supply order to MAHUD fraudulently would be penalised, no tangible action has been initiated till date, continued the Congress spokesman.
He further challenged BJP MLAs to a public debate on misappropriation of a huge amount from non-plan head by issuing two work orders for a single work.
The BJP-led Government activities revolve around inauguration of projects taken up by Congress Government and circulation of volumes of propaganda through social media as if they are the ones which executed those projects, he added.
