Jiribam, March 10 2016:
Officials of the North East Frontier Railway today inspected the railway line in Jiribam today, reports our correspondent.
The Commission of Railway Safety train carrying NEF officials from Arunachal Pradesh reached Jiribam Railway Station at around 12.30 noon.
According to the officials, the visit has been initiated in order to ascertain if the railway line from Arunachal Pradesh to Jiribam is safe for operation or requires any additional assembling.
Nearby locals who reportedly got a chance to get a glimpse of the interior part of the Jiribam Railway Station urged that a sign board written in Meitei Mayek which is similar to the one installed outside the railway station should also be put up inside in order to promote the indigenous script.
