The girl consumed pesticide at about 11 last night and was treated at Kakching Rural Hospital.
No one had any idea why the young girl attempted to kill herself.
Quoting the girl, the mother said that Khaba called out her daughter through mobile phone at about 10 pm last night and raped her.
It is said that Khaba and his family shifted to the locality from Uyal village about 15 years back.
