AR stall at Sangai Festival 2016 attracts many

In the recently concluded Sangai Festival 2016, the 6 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) established a Assam Rifles Pavilion with the aim of increasing awareness on employment opportunities in the Force and also to showcase the contributions and efforts made the forces towards ushering in peace and harmony in the State.
This year, the Assam Rifles Pavilion was based on an interactive theme which encouraged visitors to satisfy their curiosity through one on one interaction on military equipment, employment options and avenues available in the Force for pursuing adventure and sports interests such as archery and mountaineering.

The pavilion set up by the AR became the most visited stall by the people during the festival.
It attracted large crowds of all age groups.
Apart from dignitaries, the Pavilion was quite popular with the youth and school students.
It was visited by students of many schools such as Churachand Higher Secondary School, Human Resource Academy, and Assam Rifles Public School.
Interesting activities with equally interesting takeaways were planned for young children.
Major General Virendra Singh, VSM, Inspector General Assam Rifles (S) visited the stall on November 28 and interacted with the people.
HEU Salai Lian Luai, Chief Minister of Chin State, Myanmar, also visited the stall and applauded the efforts of the AR.
