3 disqualified Trinamool MLAs join BJP

In a new development, the three disqualified Manipur Trinamool Congress MLAs on Sunday joined the BJP with party in-charge of Manipur Tapir Gao welcoming the trio during a function.
Kh Joykishan, Th Biswajit and O Lukhoi have been inducted into the State BJP fall, party president Th Chaoba formally announced during the event at the party office here.
The former MLAs were disqualified by a tribunal of Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Lokeswar after facing months of disqualification proceedings under the Tenth Schedule.
The former Trinamool MLAs expressed their willingness to fight mid-term polls for the three seats that have been left vacant since their disqualification from MLAship.
National BJP leader Tapir Gao welcomed the new party members on the occasion.
State BJP chief Th Chaoba claimed that the three former MLAs have joined his party with the sole aim to overthrow the ruling Congress.
He alleged that they were disqualified by the Speaker at the behest of Chief Minister O Ibobi.
Chaoba called Speaker Lokeswar a 'peon' working for Ibobi who is heading a corrupt Government and dubbed the judgment 'flabby.' He said the people are all set to give their own judgment over the disqualification of the three MLAs.
